Happiness is a choice.

We always think life will get better when we graduate. finish school and get a job. get married. have some kids.

Buy a house. And a car. Have a condo. Go for a holiday.

Then we get frustrated cos our children are not old enough.

Need to wait for them to get old.

And get iritated by the constant mortgage bills and credit card payments we have to fork out.

We tell and console ourselves tommorow will be another day, a happier day.

When finally our girlfriends and spouses, our boyfriends and best friends will get their act together.

We tell ourselves it is tommorrow that we might strike lottery.

Tommorow always seems to be the happier, but when tommorrow comes happy does not.

But hey come to think about it, pause.

Why wait for tommorrow to be happy?

Why not start today. If not now, then when. If not here then where?

It would always have seemed that for life to start, we need to get rid of the obstacles.

The bills, the problems we have, the exams to clear, the jobs to find.

But the more we come to think of it, the more the problems come.

But hey, wait a minute.

Aint those problems not just obstacles in our way.

Obstacles that represent life itself.

And often we come to find that we cant find that road to happiness.

Till we realize happyness is the road. The pursuit of happyness can end today.

Cos happyness is not a destination, not a journey but a choice.

That you can make today. Not tommorrow. Today.

So go home now and think about all the things that you can choose to be happy about.

If you cant, sing yourself a Happy Birthday song or buy a Happy Meal.

There is always a reason to be happy.
